Headcount

A White Wyandotte rooster with snow-white plumage and a red comb, in a navy ranger's jumper with a brown suede shoulder patch, standing on a forest floor of fallen leaves at night facing a large moss-green kākāpō parrot, a brass lantern glowing on a mossy stump between them, tree ferns and tall dark trunks behind in cool blue light
