Out of Season

A Black Java rooster with glossy black plumage shot with green in a brown tweed jacket and a pale blue shirt, seated upright on a café chair at a small round marble table on a sunny pavement terrace in Lisbon, folded wing feathers resting on the table edge and scaled rooster legs below, a small espresso cup and a tall glass of iced water on the table, pastel yellow facades with wrought-iron balconies behind in hot autumn sunshine

Tweed, Regardless

The tweed came out of the trunk last week on the calendar's word, and the weather has gone back on it since. He keeps the jacket on out of principle, and has ordered a tall glass of iced water with the coffee out of something closer to need.
