To Scale

A wheaten Marsh Daisy rooster with gold-brown plumage, a chestnut hackle and a red comb, in a short-sleeved shirt with a large blue, black and ochre wax-print pattern, perched on a wooden school desk in a whitewashed classroom, a rounded world map with coloured countries pinned to the wall beside a blackboard, a frangipani tree in sunlight through the open louvred shutters

Fourteen Greenlands
