Skylight

A Malay rooster with a tall upright stance, black breast and chestnut hackles in a navy linen jacket over a navy-and-white striped Breton shirt, perched on the grey zinc roof of a Paris apartment building beside an open skylight and terracotta chimney pots at blue hour, the rooftops stretching away and the trailing green streaks of a firework falling in the distance
