Two Lumps

A Buff Orpington rooster with golden buff plumage, seated upright like a gentleman at a scrubbed pine farmhouse kitchen table at night in a dark green wool dressing gown over a blue striped pyjama shirt, a white china sugar bowl and a cup of tea before him, an open window behind showing the Milky Way over dark fields

With the Window Open

Sugar has been found near the middle of the galaxy, a very long way from any kitchen. He takes a second lump at midnight and leaves the window open, in case anyone comes asking for it back.
