Selim’s breed was kept for centuries in the palace gardens of Istanbul, and he carries himself as though the arrangement were still in force. He is white from crest to toe, bearded, and feathered all the way down to the feet, which he regards as his best feature and protects accordingly.

He is new to the books this season and has already declined two location shoots on account of the ground. He is not difficult. He simply knows what a meadow does to a feathered foot, and would rather the meadow were photographed separately. On marble he is without equal.
