Three decades. One subject. No regrets.
What began in 1994 as a single afternoon with a borrowed Leghorn and a rented studio in Clerkenwell has become one of the most dedicated practices in avian portraiture. We chose our lane early. The lane has been remarkably generous in return.

On the Work
We do not take photographs of roosters. We make portraits of individuals who happen to be roosters. The distinction matters to us, and after thirty years, we believe it shows. Every sitting begins the same way: unhurried observation, natural light, and the quiet conviction that the subject deserves the same attention as any head of state or captain of industry. Most of them carry themselves accordingly.
